Insurance Card Upload On Bookadoc Settings
In Bookadoc, insurance card uploads can be performed through the Settings interface. This process is tightly integrated with our OCR pipeline and EHR systems to ensure automation and accuracy.
Upload Flow Overview
-
Card Upload via Settings
- Users can upload images of insurance cards directly from the Bookadoc Settings page.
-
File Storage
- Uploaded files are securely stored in Azure Blob Storage.
-
OCR Trigger
- Immediately after upload, an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) service is triggered.
- The service extracts structured data (e.g., policy number, carrier, member name) from the uploaded images.
-
Insurance Case Creation
- Once OCR data is extracted, Bookadoc uses that information to automatically create a new insurance case.
- The insurance case is then pushed to the appropriate EHR, such as:
- Tebra
- Athena
- Or any other supported EHR integrated with our platform.
Summary
This streamlined process reduces manual data entry and ensures that insurance information is accurate and synchronized across systems.
